It’s amazing to me that on this day last year I was dropping off my seating charts and other reception goodies at the resort where my husband and I were to be married two days later. Everything seemed to be a little chaotic, but I was organized and I had everything under control. I like to think of it as controlled chaos, if that is possible at all. Maybe it was the fact that I pretty much used up all my wholesale herbal incense to stay calm. In just a few short months I was able to put together the wedding of our dreams. With a limited budget and a long list of wants, I am sitll not sure how we managed to pull it off, but we did without a wedding planner.
Now, I understand why people would choose to use a wedding planner. It makes sense for people who absolutely have no time to do absolutely anything for their wedding, and for those who have plenty of money to spend. Neither of those fit me. If you are considering hiring a wedding planner, I beg you to think long and hard about your decision. Also, take a look at the infographic below that compares costs between doing it yourself and hiring someone. Believe me, you can get all of the things your little heart desires for your wedding without the help of a wedding planner.
